WClub 2014 Registration is OPEN (omg the Upgrade Dolls!)

So, today went by and went by, and we at the WClub were all figuring we HAD to get the email today, but it never came.  Until this evening.  Those sneaking Integrity bastards.  Since it's Christmas time, I won't be able to pay for a week or two, but that's okay - registration is open until January 21st, 2014.  So, if you're thinking of renewing or even joining the club for the first time (doll collecting is awesome - they're so pretty to look at!!!) *enable*, that gives you lots of time.

Main registration costs $50.  That seems like a lot for just a basic membership, but you DO get stuff for that price.  If you don't collect dolls, it's a stupid price.  But, you get the chance to get a lot of exclusive dolls that immediately go up in price if you wind up wanting to sell them.  And if you're not in the club, and you want one of those dolls - good luck.  The WClub gives you the chance to buy 5 exclusive club dolls - 2 Fashion Royalty dolls (one of these is often Nu.Face), 1 Poppy Parker doll, 1 Victoire Roux doll, and 1 Jem doll.  You don't HAVE to buy any of the upgrade dolls, but they're usually really awesome, and there's usually something for everyone's tastes.  You also get first-to-know emails, and get to see the dolls that are going to be for sale at dealers first, which means you get the chance to get the dolls that sell out in 5 minutes.  Yes, 5 minutes.  I'm not exaggerating.

But there are also upgrade dolls with the membership price.  Often, the upgrade dolls are pretty simple, but this year they're pretty much the same as the normal, deluxe dolls you'd normally get.  And you can pick and choose from a bunch of different packages, so if you want all three upgrade dolls, you can get them.  Or you can get none, or you can get combos.  You also get to join the WClub forum, which is essentially where I live online.  There and Flickr.

But, the reason everyone wants the registration email isn't only because of the info that I just posted.  It's about the upgrade dolls.

Fashion Explorer Vanessa Perrin:

LOVE. HER.  I love her boots, her casual clothes, her brown hair.  She'll definitely be the upgrade doll that I choose - but maybe not the only one....

The Girl From I.N.T.E.G.R.I.T.Y. Poppy Parker:

Now, you know that I don't collect Poppy Parker, but when they announced this spy theme at the Convention, I knew I might have to pick one of them up.  I LOVE short hair and bobs, and as I wait for my money to drop in my account, I'll definitely be considering picking this girl up along with Vanessa.  She's so cute, but I may have to rebody her.  I don't have any shoes for the Poppy feet, but the boots that come with this girl would go with pretty much any outfit, so it might not be an emergency sort of thing.

The Countess Danielle du Voisin:

This doll was a big surprise for everyone, not just Jem collectors.  There are only usually 2 upgrade dolls, so the third was this Jem doll, since IT has the license again for 2014.  And everyone was surprised that it was the Countess.  She uses the Minx face sculpt, but I find she looks different enough from Minx that it's not a clone thing.  I really find that she looks like Veronique 1.0, if Vero was doing an 80's throwback night at a party.  A lot of people also say she looks like Paris Hilton, which I don't really see, but I guess I can understand.

So, I'll DEFINITELY be back next year, since the WClub is pretty much my whole life right now that I'm not working (well, and when I'm not playing DOAX LOL)  Hope to see all my dolly friends there again, and maybe at convention in Orlando, too!
