Stella. THE American Witch. At least, as far as my High Coven goes. Stella, along with French Vanessa, Ethiopian Annik, and Colombian Inez, they are the four witches of the Greater Sabbats, keeping elemental harmony without the world even knowing they're being protected from those that would unbalance those seasonal forces, and on the two days of the Sabbats a witch represents occur (the days differ in the Northern and Southern hemisphere for obvious seasonal differences), she takes on the brunt of the earth's power, and needs her Coven to help balance things, lest chaos occur from dark, rogue witches who want to take advantage of the swell in power.
Stella is the Witch of Beltane, commonly known as May Day in the Northern Hemisphere, and it falls on October 31st in the Southern Hemisphere. Like Samhain, it's a time of the thinning of the veil between life and death, and is a great responsibility, as the power from the dead takes much willpower to stand against, or to control. It's also very tempting if the witch has weakness in her core. Beltane is also a time of sensuality and fertility, and Stella is VERY sensual. Some open-minded couples who know of Stella's position as a witch come to her when they wish to conceive a child. And she has a 100% success rate through her Wiccan rituals. However, her duties also include keeping an eye on the veil between life and death when Samhain, or Halloween in the Northern Hemisphere, falls, for she must make sure that her counterpart does not become tempted by the growing power of the dead. Vanessa is the Witch of Samhain, and Stella has noticed some cracks in her aura...
