"Electronaut" - VNV Nation
Captain Matilda Boudreaux helms the HMSS Hawking, the first starship to use the modified Violet anti-matter engine, modified for deep space travel by Dr. Maris Zoeller-Fox. Just because she's captain of one of the most important starships in (future) human history doesn't mean she can't let her hair down. She doesn't believe in being a tyrant, yet her crew greatly respect her for her knowledge of all positions in the ship, and her cool head under pressure. The only problem is that the Violet anti-matter engine worked too well, and now the Hawking is very far from home, without Gaian contact. I guess like Star Trek Voyager, except without a hot Borg or half-Klingon on board. An alien supermodel would be kind of awesome. Especially for Nu.Fantasy. IT, get on it!
Here, Captain Boudreaux is letting her hair down before the launch of the Hawking.

I so love your stories :) We need some new story cards from you for FR. What is the outfit she's wearing? It's great -- and I especially love those earrings. All the dolls in this….series? Collection? are incredible. I once said that those 5 dolls would be my "desert island" dolls. Don't know if that still holds true -- I can't imagine being stranded on a desert island without Marina, but I do think as an overall collection, the screenings on those dolls are some of the best ever.
