Yeah, that's right. Ms. Not Miss, bitch! Loni is a big step for me - my first doll from the Poppyverse. It feels kind of like I did when I watched my first episode of Doctor Who a few weeks ago - like I'm on the threshold of this immense fandom that is like a sucking black hole you can never escape from. So far, I haven't watched more Doctor Who because I'm on a Star Trek kick, so I'm watching all of The Next Generation, Deep Space 9, and Voyager before getting back to the Doctor.
So, Loni has the Poppy body, and I was a little worried about the feet. Poppy's body is pretty much a Monogram body with different legs and feet. The body has an ankle joint (which isn't in any of the pictures), and the feet are flat. Poppy is supposed to be a young, modest teenager, so she'd never wear spiked heels, only flats or kitten heels. But Loni is a Broadway treasure and spends most of her time memorizing lines, so she just wears what her personal shopper gets for her (that's me, by the way). I've never been much for "this shoe can only go on this kind of foot", so if it can fit even just 'okay', that's fine. As long as the shoe is on the foot.
I'm really hoping that this year we'll see another Loni. A year and a half ago, when Lemon Crush was given out at the Tropicalia convention, it was mentioned that Loni would join the line as Poppy's mentor, but then she became conspicuously absent. So did Darla. Let's change that, IT!
