Integrity Lottery Doll - Pret a Partir Victoire Roux!

We got an email just before the 4th of July about a lotto chance to win a new Victoire Roux doll.  The holiday made it so the blackout period before any information could be shared outside the WClub was kinda long.  When I got the email, I was really hoping it was going to be about convention, but she is a very pretty Victoire.

I know that I broke my 'no Poppy' rule, but I know that I won't be collecting Victoire.  I like that there's a lot of care put into her, but her face mold is very Silkstone-ish in tone (not necessarily in appearance), and it just wouldn't fit in with my modern girls.  Poppy may take place in the 60's, but her face mold is eraless.  Whereas Victoire is a time capsule, a throwback to a style of face mold, back when Barbie first appeared on the scene and created the 'fashion doll'.

This Victoire has quite the story in the email along with her, mentioning not only a friend for Victoire named Marcella, but also has a story about her meeting a beau, named Arnaud.  Does this mean that the Victoire Roux line will expand to feature a friend and a fellow?  I think that one of the Monogram molds would fit perfectly into the Victoire line.  I'm not sure what they'd do for a male friend.  The whole Homme universe is kind of a question mark right now with the refresh coming later this year.  We may see all new faces, or no new faces?  Who knows.

Anyway, I love the fact that instead of black, the outfit uses navy blue.  I like black, but I would like to see a few more uses of very dark shades of green, purple, or brown in place of black every once in a while.  The little make-up case is very awesome, too.  I think she's one of the prettiest Victoire dolls so far, though not quite as pretty as the first Victoire of the year, Evening In Montreal.

She is available via lotto for $99 USD, which is actually a really great price.
