Anyone who reads this blog knows I love Sailor Moon. Love, love love. So, it's with a great amount of impatience that I wait for July 5th, and then will air every other Saturday. That's when the rebooted Sailor Moon anime begins to stream on various sites, including Hulu and Crunchyroll, for those of us not in Japan. Here's a preview that they showed in Japan for Usagi's birthday (June 30th), featuring the opening credits, and Usagi's transformation into Sailor Moon:
Sailor Moon Crystal Preview!!!!
I didn't think I'd love any theme song they did, since it wasn't going to be Midnight Densetsu, the classic opening theme song to Sailor Moon, but this one (called Moon Pride) is AWESOME. I love it even more, I think. Or maybe that's just the excitement of new Sailor Moon taking over. For those of you who grew up on the DIC English dub, Vic actually bought the rights to the original anime, and are streaming the subtitled version of Hulu and Neon Alley right now, with two episodes added every Monday. They are also doing a NEW English dub, which really doesn't have to try hard to be better than the old English dub. I know a lot of people feel great nostalgia for the original English dub, but it was awful, and with this new dub, there will be no name changes, no editing, and more importantly, no gender changes. They'll also be bringing Sailor Stars, the last season of the 90s anime, to North America for the first time.
EEEEEEEE, can't wait.
Anyway, back to dolls. This is a photoshoot from a while ago. Like I've said previously, I take a whole bunch of pictures at once, and then have a backlog to work with. It especially helps with Nova Scotia's very unpredictable weather, because I can't always go outside, not even in the covered porch, to take pictures. When it's raining, there's just not enough good light, even under cover. I've seen lots of people wash the glue out of Deconstruction Sight Eugenia's hair to make it more full, but I love it slicked and short like this. Short hair, short hair! I'm so glad that there's a short-haired girl in the newest collection, and IMO, she's the best of the bunch!!!
