One thing I love as much as dolls are the girls of Dead Or Alive. Everyone who follows this blog (and doesn't forget the posts a minute after they read them) knows this. I've talked about DOAX (the beach volleyball offshoot) many times. I find them kind of like moving, video game dolls. So, I guess that's where the appeal comes for me, even though I'm normally really not into fighting games. Button masher? Yep, right here.
Since I also love taking pics of my dolls, it seems the next logical step to use the Photo Mode in Dead Or Alive 5 Ultimate to take photos of the girls in their costumes. Once I extract them from my PS3 and use a command line program to change them from their PS3 data form, they're the perfect size for wallpapers. Or for screen savers. That's how I'm using mine right now, as a screen saver slideshow. So, whenever I'm doing something else, I can glance over at my computer, and see something pretty flash across the screen.
There are also a few costumes that I'd LOVE to have for my dolls. Like this one. This is Ayane's first costume, called Nocturne Butterfly. Some of the costumes come with default names (mostly if they came with any of the Ninja Gaiden games). It's a cool Ninja outfit, but it's got all these little iris kunai that would be a great doll accessory.
Even if you're a regular reader of my blog for the dolls and are like 'what the fuck is DOA???', hopefully the images will still be pretty things to look at, instead of just a 'wasted' blog post. And, if you're here for the DOA images, maybe you'll think the doll images are cool, or you'll read the Face Off reviews and want to check the show out. CROSS REFERENCING, PEOPLE!!!!
Maybe someday I'll do a reroot of a doll and make a custom Ayane:
