Q is for Qadira

Q names are hard to come by.  Here's Qadira out of her hijab, letting her hair flow loose.  Qadira comes from a fantasy world where there is technically no Islam religion because it's not earth.  It's more of a regional thing because she came from a desert country, and covering from the sand is probably how the hijab actually began, before Islam even existed.  Qadira is a very tough lady, so her hijab is also strategical, and not just part of her culture.  She can hide small needles and weapons in the folds of the fabric, and she does feel comforted by the lack of harassment from men (which is a valid, unfortunate reason that quite a few Islamic women don't protest the wearing of a hijab).  Qadira is not a lesbian, but rather asexual, and does not trust men.  She's kind of like Rei from Sailor Moon in that regard.

However, Qadira has thrown her lot into being a mercenary partner with Rigel, which ostracizes her from society further.  That's something that Qadira doesn't mind.  If there were an anti-government Montana Militia in her world, she'd be printing their newsletters.  She just kind of wants out of society, and sees Rigel as a fellow outcast.  The only other person she seems to show any regard for is Rigel's little sister, Peach.  She often keeps an eye on Peach, not only from threats the world can bring, but from Rigel herself.  Rigel is only half vampire, because the curse that had been performed on her as a 2 year old was performed wrong, and the Black Witch Rastaban tried to reverse it, but she still does feel those urges to feed.  When the urge gets too strong, she even sees her 'friend' and her sister as food.

However, Qadira has three metal robotic fingers to replace three she lost, and the pure silver has soaked into her blood, and makes her poisonous to Rigel, so she is the perfect companion for a vampire.  However, she has yet to take the official, magical leap to becoming a human servant, because she does not know if she could tie herself forever to anyone, not even Rigel.
