The first night of the convention was officially Thursday, but Wednesday night also had some dolls. These dolls were 'leaked' a while ago when the convention packet was first emailed out to everyone, but now we can all see them for real now! For those that paid up front for their convention packet, they got a ticket to the welcome cocktail party, where you got a choice of one doll as well as a complimentary drink.
High Frequency Kumi:
This is the doll that everyone was dying over. A tanned Eden/Lillith sculpt? Of course everyone wants her. She'll probably be quite expensive on the secondary market.
Heart Stopper Natalia:
The doll that everyone forgot about because of High Frequency Kumi. I'm not a fan of Natalia's early sculpt, so I'm not too impressed with this doll. If it had been her new, current face, I would have been all over her, though. Love the color of the dress.
People coming in Wednesday also got a chance to register early, so it wasn't such a huge line on Thursday. Along with the convention packet, everyone was given a fashion as a gift. It's very glam, and it's called On Set. It's meant to go with the Feminine Perspective Agnes giftset from the convention collection:
People also got a chance to pick up Workshop dolls along with their registration packet. There were three, and all of them are pretty nice:
Lash Out! Poppy Parker:
Love her hair. I'm a sucker for silver/platinum hair. She's for the Lash Out workshop.
Up All Night Lillith:
Pretty nice doll! I'm not as wowed by her as some other people are, but I definitely appreciate how different she looks compared to how Lillith usually does. She's the workshop doll for the Reel 2 Real workshop.
Director's Cut Ace McFly:
Love his sweater! He's the workshop doll for the Behind The Scenes workshop where they talk about doll production. MAN, I really hope they record that workshop or something, because I LOVE LOVE LOVE behind-the-scenes stuff.

I am in the minority as I am not a fan of either Cocktail doll. Kumi while she has one of my fave sculpts I am not a fan. I think if her hair was a different shad I may have been gaga. Natalia I love but I can live without this one. I chose Inner Spark from the main line.
ReplyDeleteThe workshop dolls I love Poppy and is coming home. Lilith was not a winner for me in this set either. Ace was a total pass for me although I wouldn't mind getting his clothes somewhere down the line
