American Horror Story: Coven Doll Collection!

So, this is the line that we've been waiting for 2 years to hear about.  They got a sneak peek at convention before the rest of the WClub got to see the email, which dropped yesterday.  To be honest, there were a lot of disappointed people.  They're actually growing on me a little bit the more I look at them, but I still don't know if I'll get one.  The clothes are AMAZING, though.  It's being hotly debated on whether the face sculpts actually look like the actors or not.

Marie Laveau Doll:

I find that this is one of the sculpts that does mostly resemble the actor.  Though, I wouldn't say this doll is quite as beautiful as Angela Bassett.  There's something kind of off with the lips, but I do love her whole look.  I'll probably still get her, knowing me and my lack of willpower.

Fiona Goode Doll:

Awesome, awesome outfit.  And I like that there is now a mature face sculpt floating around at IT, but I don't feel that this looks like Jessica Lange.  I like the idea of having an older woman in my collection, so I'll see how she looks in real life, but if I want a mature woman, I might go for the next doll instead:

Myrtle Snow Doll:

I wish there was a better closeup of her face, but I love the hair, and the outfit is VERY show accurate (as are all the fashions).  I'm hoping she doesn't sell out before some real life shots of her make the rounds.

Zoe Benson Doll:

The prettiest doll in the collection, IMO.  I don't find she looks much like Taissa Farmiga, but she's still very pretty.  She looks like she's Giselle's sister, or Agnes's daughter or something.  I think I'll have to try to pre-order her at some point.

Kyle Spencer Doll:

They NAILED the accuracy with this one.  It looks really close to Evan Peters.  I don't collect Hommes, so it's an immediate pass for me, but I think he'll be pretty popular since he's a very handsome doll.

Madison Montgomery Doll:

I have mixed feelings about this doll.  She doesn't look much like Emma Roberts to me, and I find her face kind of wide and weird looking, but that actually kind of makes me like her more.  I sort of dig the dolls that are outcasts, so to speak.  Her outfit is fab.

So, what was missing from this collection?  How about my fave character from the show, Cordelia???  Or Misty??  Or Nan?  Or Papa Legba (I would have soooo bought him and broken my embargo on male dolls because it's Papa fucking Legba, and because I love Lance Reddick).

The dolls' release dates will be staggered, with two coming out every month or so, somewhat like the Heart MLP line.  Marie Laveau should be at dealers this week and ready to go, with the others following in November, December, and early January.
