Sorry this took so long to write up. I had to work early Sunday so couldn't stay up and wait for the email, and then Sunday and today, I felt like my brain was made of diarrhea. But here we go with the finale of the Supermodel convention.
First up was a centerpiece - Tweed Couture Dania! I was pretty surprised, but pleasantly.
Her necklace is astounding. It's based off a 1997 Dior look.
Next up they had the design winner annoucements, and Salvador Lopez Arriaga won with this cool design. She'll be produced next year:
I hope the doll herself looks like this, too!
After dinner, Jason Wu went up and did an interview with Carol, and revealed that he'll be doing a new line next year that will debut the Velvet Touch skin. I don't know much else about it, so we'll have to wait and see. However, convention-goers were given the chance to pre-order this lovely Elyse - La Vie en Bleu. She's only available for the convention peeps, so I'm sure she'll be a pretty penny on the secondary market.
The convention doll this year was also a surprise. Most people, including me, were expecting Elyse or Agnes, but it was Diva Dasha! This year is the year of Dasha.
She's stunning! I kind of really want her, but at the same time, she's somewhat like Modern Sensibility and Always Polished, so I dunno.... I'll probably cave and want her too, though.
Lastly, they announced that next year's convention theme will be Fairytale Fashion, and will be in Orlando. I was hoping for something in the Northeast, to be honest, but I'm hoping to make it to Orlando next year. I say that every year about convention, though.
