Thuban's got a pretty tragic past. The leader of a small tribe of 'Dragon Talkers' who can converse telepathically with ancient dragon spirits, and bring them back to physical form. A powerful necromancer king in New Arcturus wanted both Thuban's power and her body, so he invaded their tribe and killed them all, save Thuban. Her husband managed to escape with their five children, but he died along with four of Thuban's heirs. With her one remaining child scattered from her, a world away, she is left in the hands of Azabaazch, who keeps her paralyzed through magic so he can have his way with her, in a sick fantasy of a romantic love story. Her power, though much weakened in this state, is found by Willow, the sea Witch of New Arcturus, and she's rescued, only to have to still fight against Azaabazch and his equally demonic minion, Luchia.
