Jem And The Holograms - In Stitches Giftset

"All right, I should be ready to win this contest with these ugly ass clothes!"

One thing I never understood, even as a child, was how Jem won first place in the episode "In Stitches" where they had the fashion contest in Italy.  Like... look at that peach.... thing.  Why does it have a third arm?  It looks like it's half pants and half dress... or something.  And then there's the aqua cosmetics counter uniform.  The last outfit - Jem's lavender coat fashion that she wears often, is the best.  Until it's dyed black, and then it's the best fucking thing ever, in terms of crazy Jem cartoon fashions.  Maybe that's also because it's on Pizzazz.

Why am I rambling about this?  The first reason could be because I'm a giant weirdo, but that's actually not the reason this time.  It's the new Jem and the Holograms release - the "In Stitches" giftset featuring Jem and Pizzazz!

omgggggg, Pizzazz looks as sexy as she should.  And she's even got the dyed gold hands instead of having long mittens, which are the norm for fashion dolls.  Both outfits are done very nicely, but Pizzazz's just POPS in comparison to the tamer colors of Jem's palette.  Pizzazz has side-glancing eyes this time, and her hair is gloriously big.  Jem's hair is also big and very 80's, except for the fact that it looks like she did a headstand and flattened the top.

I think a lot of people were expecting this Jem reveal to be Rock 'N Curl Jem, because of the bigness of the small amount of hair that was teased to the WClub in our last newsletter, so this giftset caught a lot of people by surprise.  It's also brought on speculation that "I'm Okay" will be the next giftset, featuring Kimber and Stormer (which would be awesome).  This Pizzazz is sexy, but my two fave looks for my bratty sexpot are the "Jack Take A Hike" outfit with the high ponytail and cat's eye sunglasses, and "Watch Factory".  You see her wearing that one quite a few times, where she's got a mustard yellow trench coat, and a ton of watches, even one around her ankle.

This set was offered to WClub members for $20 off the regular price, so instead of $185, it's $165 for a brief time.  Even at full price, that's a great deal for two dolls in a package with never before produced fashions.  It's much cheaper than two solo Jem dolls.
