The Heirloom Collection - Nu.Face

On Saturday the WClub had a webinar to reveal the Fashion Royalty and Nu.Face lines.  Up first was Nu.Face, designed by Jessy Ayala (who this weekend has become my favorite person in the world).  The Nu.Face collection is absolutely stunning, and it has made me start to care about dolls again!  And I'm so glad.  It's kinda funny how a new doll reveal could make me care about what I already have again, but it does.  Maybe because I see my collection every night before I go to bed, so I'm used to looking at them.  Whereas these dolls are all new, so not only do I get to gag over new beautiful dolls, but it makes me realize how awesome the dolls I do have are.

All of the dolls will be shipping in Fall/Winter.

Charmed Life Imogen:

I LOVE this doll.  She's the one Nu.Face that I was confirmed for.  I am partial to the Imogen face sculpt, and this one not only has freckles, but she also reminds me of Glimmer Luchia (which is a huge bonus since I love that doll).  I love the back of the bodysuit a lot, too.  Imogen also now has a last name - Lennox.  I like it.  Not only the last name, but that she's got one.  Makes it feel like the character is fully being embraced into the world and has more fleshing out like the other, more established, characters.

Heiress Erin:

Stunning!  The hair and skintone combination is a fave of mine.  I am on the Wait List for this girl.  Her eyes are gorgeous, and I really love the construction of the blouse with the slits on the inner arms.  I also love the spider ring!

Neo-Romantic Rayna:

Crazy wicked outfit!  I know it's pretty dividing, but I like how daring it is.  I'm on the Wait List for this girl as well (that's going to be a common theme).  Rayna, like Imogen, also now has a last name.  It's Ahmadi.  I love that she's been given a ethnicity that isn't really developed in the doll world, which is Arabic.  I don't know if that means we'll ever see her in a headscarf or not.  Just because someone is Arabic doesn't mean they're Muslim.  Anyway, I really dig the whole look of this doll - it's really different.

Vanity And Glamour Nadja:

OMG, it's Storm!  Again - Wait Listed.  I love everything about this doll.  The hair!  The attitude!  I've seen a lot of comments like "she looks like a streetwalker" or "looks like a whore", which kinda bristle me.  Way to slut shame.  Wearing lingerie does not make a woman a whore.  Wearing revealing clothing does not make a woman a whore.  Being sexual does not make a woman a whore  But also, so what?  There are far worse things in the world than being a whore.  I will always stand by the belief that prostitution should be legal.  It's the world's oldest profession and no amount of policing has stopped that.  If it were legal, it would be safer and healthier.  /soapbox

Hauntingly Beautiful Ayumi:

This doll may be my least fave of the collection, and I still really like her.  The cameo ring is to die for.  I kinda miss Ayumi 2.0 though.  It was my fave version of her.  Like Nadja, Ayumi is 120 USD instead of 140 like Rayna, Erin, and Imogen, since they're both Close Up dolls.

Poetic Beauty Eden and Lillith Blair:

Now the twins also have a last name - Blair.  Am I the only one who immediately thought of Linda Blair?  Maybe I'll spin the heads around on the twins that I do have.  This is the reveal that had pretty much everyone dying.  The twins are hugely popular.  They're also going to be a lottery, which then started a tsunami of discussion on the pros/cons of lotteries.  Personally, they are the fairest way I feel.  It sucks when I don't win a lottery that I really want, but I like them when I win.  It isn't even losing a lottery that upsets me - I am fine with losing fair and square.  RNGesus (Random Number Jesus) treats everyone the same - in random binary code.  If only humanity were so equalizing.  But, the part that makes me grit my teeth is scalpers.  And there's nothing Integrity can really do about that.  I don't mean people who will sell things to get a grail doll that they want, or barter their lottery chance for the chance in another lottery for a doll they like more.  I mean people who consistently buy up the most-wanted stuff (not just Integrity dolls - they are in EVERY facet of collecting life), and sell them immediately for triple the price, and do it EVERY TIME.  But, scalpers pay their club fees just like everyone else, so it's not up to IT.  If you don't like scalpers, don't buy from them.... omg, another soapbox.  Oh well.
Anyway, this lottery should be happening for WClub members in September or so.  The set is really pretty, though I've learned that I don't seem to like the twins as much as others do.  And I also almost always prefer Lillith.  I may try for this set and see how things go?  Lillith's top construction is pretty amazing, and so versatile.  It could be a top or a dress.

After Reckless last year, Jessy had a lot to live up to with the designs for the Heirloom collection, but I have to say that he outdid himself and knocked this collection out of the park.

  1. Ayumi and Erin are the 2 I passed on from this line. I find it laughable how they called Nadja names because she's in lingerie. The chick is FIERCE. I thought of Storm immediately and envisioned all the redressing badassery that will happen with this one. I agree if it was legal it would be much safer for the men and women.
I'm the same in Lilith is my fave. Eden may hit the trails nude but her sister stays. WAH Eden may rock her outfit for sure.
