"She's an animal on the loose,
she's a creature on the prowl!
She's an animal on the loose,
and she's gettin' ready to howl!"
Those are lyrics from Welcome To The Jungle by The Misfits on Jem. The Beast uses the Pizzazz face mold, so I have immediately thought of her as a modern-day Phyllis Gabor (Pizzazz's real name). This is her musical comeback, where she's a beast on the stage, and is still as brash, rude, and rockin' as ever. I think of the line "I'll be your goddess, and you'll sing my praises" from Flesh Is The Law by The Genitorturers as a modern anthem for Phyllis. The Beast's hair was pretty wild when I got her, but I made it even bigger. Phyllis Gabor's always a production in everything she does, even in her hairstyles. It's so rocker post-sex huge. I love it. I know that several of my girls are going to become total groupies (and probably get lucky.... oooh yeah, Lesbian doll party!)
What would have made the Nu.Fantasy Beauty and the Beast set even better is if Beauty had been another woman. It's cool that they decided to reverse the classic gender roles, but could you imagine how AWESOME it would have been in Beauty had been a female with the Jem face mold?? Total fem-foemance!
As a bonus, I took a couple of pictures of Phyllis that are a bit more... 'Christmas'. I'm a big grinch, really, so I'm not that into Christmas. When I lived alone, I didn't decorate, and I use gift bags rather than wrapping presents. Halloween is far more my speed, although I do love all the food on turkey and ribbon day. So, here's Phyllis showing some slight season cheer. I can totally hear her saying "Merry Christmas, Motherfuckers."
