Pissed Off, No Song Title (Loni Redressed)

I have such a backlog of images that I need to upload that I figured I'd do some today, but right now I'm just so pissed off.  This whole thing that happened in Santa Barbara is just awful - where the guy (not even going to give him enough thought to look up his name - he doesn't deserve that) shot up a bunch of innocent people because women rejected him.

AND PEOPLE THINK HE WAS RIGHT TO DO IT!  And by people, I mean the deplorable 'Men's Rights Movement'.  MRM is pretty much the same thing as saying 'White Power Movement'.  A movement to keep the lofting rights of a group that's held down other groups to keep their own rights more important than everyone else.  They hate feminism so much that they think 'more women deserve to die' (a quote from an actual response to this whole ugly, heart-wrenching mess).  They don't see feminism as humanism - that women should be allowed to think and say and wear whatever they want without reprisal, just like men.  They see it as forcing men into some sort of weird slavery.  I don't even fucking get it.  These men don't fucking get it.

And sadly, it seems that wherever I look with the #YesAllWomen hashtag and other blogs that are popping up right now under the examination of this social ideal that is now under the microscope, men just DON'T GET IT.  DON'T FUCKING GET IT.  Even Richard Dawkins, a noted challenger of the system (and sometimes giant douche even though I'm an Atheist myself), posted about how a woman feeling uncomfortable about a man propositioning her for coffee in an elevator left her uncomfortable, brushed it off as nothing.  Yes, not all men are rapists, but women don't know that.  We have been so subconsciously trained since birth by circumstance and media to be wary of any man, that even the rejection of a polite offer of coffee could turn into a sexual assault.  Or it could just result in a shrug, smile, and that's the end of it.  We don't know that, the same way we don't know if a dog off a leash is friendly to people or not.

Whatever.  I'm sure that if my blog were more mainstream, there would be about ten million comments that I'm just too mad and disappointed in society to even look at right now.  So here's pictures of dolls instead!
