Okoye (Out Of Sight Nadja)

Yes, I named her after Okoye, the Wakandan General in Black Panther.  How could I not?  I have her in this outfit, but she definitely needs a long red set of armor.  I'll have to look into that...

I've actually had her for a small bit before I uploaded this, but it took me a while to get pictures, and to find the time to upload.  I've been *way* too obsessed with playing Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia on my phone.  It's all I want to do.

Celeste (Sophistiquee Vanessa)

SUCCESS!

I was able to shovel off the porch and take some pics outside today!   It was a Christmas in March miracle!  This doll is *gorgeous* in person.  I feel like she was the sleeper hit of the La Femme collection.  Her original outfit didn't get her much love (though the pieces separately are amazing).  I think she's the best 3.0 Vanessa to date.

Maeve (Malefique Elyse)

Once again, I'm in a work/lack of photography purgatory with my dolls.  Every day I have off is too windy, or now too snowy.  We've hardly had any snow all winter, and now it's everywhere.  The other day I actually went outside to take a couple photos of two new dolls that are waiting to get their pics taken, but then I found a dead doe in one of the flower beds, so that stopped that in its tracks since we had to drag her out into the woods.  It feels like the universe is conspiring against me.

But, here's the Convention doll for now.  I honestly still don't know how I feel about her.  I'm not always a big fan of Elyse, and this screening isn't one of my preferred ones for her, but I do dig her whole look with the purple hair.

Maxine (Mad Love Rayna)

No, I'm not dead.  I've just been really busy with work.  It seems like every day I have a day off, the weather is awful so I haven't been paying much attention to my dolls lately.  I even have one I got in the mail from the lovely Dal that I haven't been able to take photos of AT ALL.  In a couple of weeks I'll have more time off during the week so I'm hoping the weather will cooperate and I can get a bunch of photo sessions in.  I live in a part of the world where if you don't like the weather in the front yard, look in the back yard.  Or wait 20 minutes because it will change.  And this time of year it mostly just changes from cold and windy to windy and not cold, or rainy and not windy, or windy AND rainy.  That's why I often take a whole whack of pictures at once, and save them so I can upload slowly.

... and my stores are starting to run low.  EEP.

Korinne (Jet Set Workshop Blonde)

This girl never had an official name, so I never know if I should call her Jet Set Convention Workshop Blonde or Vaughn Workshop Blonde or Jet Set Vaughn Workshop Blonde or any other combination of the three.  I fear that Korinne will never make a return to the world of Fashion Royalty.  She's a very interesting and different face mold, but is not really popular.  This year I think will be very interesting to see if we see a return of some of these lesser used face molds like Korinne, Kesenia, Anja, etc.  I really hope so, because as much as I like some of the molds that get used all the time, absence does make the heart grow fonder.  Or maybe that's why I want some of these lesser used molds - because they HAVEN'T been used a lot.

I should also take some pictures today since I actually have the day off and it's not snowing, but I'll probably do what I've been doing every day for the past week - playing Final Fantasy Opera Omnia on my cellphone.

Isha (Purple Pose Isha)

Will we see the return of Isha in 2018?  I really hope so because she's my fave character, and she's been missing for a while.  I love that they've been having Mademoiselle Jolie so that the sculpt is still making an appearance, but I'd love to see another Indian couture Isha.

Naomi (Glamazon Adele)

I finally was able to buy this year's WClub membership.  I had to wait until I got paid, rather than just buying right away like I normally do.  But, having to wait a few days made it harder for me to try and be strong and not order all three upgrade dolls.  I wound up just getting Rayna, which was my original plan.  I *have* to stop buying as many dolls each year.  Be selective!  I'm starting to run out of room!  And if I go to convention this year again, which I desperately hope to do, I know I'll be getting a bunch of dolls there....

Here's a doll from a couple of conventions ago.  I really loved the Supermodel collection, and wish I'd been able to go that year.  But at least I have this lovely lady (and a few other awesome dolls too)

Katinka (Riviera Drama Agnes)

So, the 2018 WClub has been announced. All the dolls are amazing, but I need to be more selective this year.  I probably will throw that out the window, like I do every year, though.  I'm waiting until Friday (when I get paid) to join this year, so I'll be thinking on which dolls I want to get.  I know that I'll get Rayna, but Eugenia and Poppy are also really cute.

This is the other upgrade doll from 2017 that I got last year.  2017 was definitely the year of Agnes.

Victoria (Majesty Giselle)

We are all eagerly awaiting the opening of the 2018 WClub registration, whether we are returning members or new ones. I know that there are a lot of peeps out there who are on the waiting list, dying to join.  I remember my first year, and it was really exciting. Hell, even after all these years it's still hella exciting.

So, I'm looking at this doll from the 2017 WClub registration, and she turned out to be my fave of the three upgrade dolls that was offered. Her hair color and makeup palette are just too gorgeous. Giselle isn't normally one of my must-have sculpts (Even though I have like 5 or 6 of her.... Maybe I like her more than I think I do?), but I feel like 2017 was an amazing year for her.

Phedra (Sedusiante Elyse)

Just woke up from a nap - feeling sick and worn out. Good thing that I take pictures of my dolls in batches. If I did it every time I wanted to post something, I'd never post anything.  Now to go back to bed and have fever dreams of what the upgrade dolls might look like when they open up the registration for the 2018 WClub... (which might be very soon?  I don't know!!)

I'm not the biggest Elyse fan, but I really do love this one.  It felt so summery taking pictures of her in her bathing suit, even though I was totally bundled up and shivering while doing it.

Elaine (Merveilleuse Agnes)

I'm late to the party, but my box of Club dolls arrived today (or yesterday).  I opened them today though since I didn't have time to open them on Friday.  The pictures look a lot warmer than it actually was outside - I was *really* bundled up to take these.  This Agnes is really pretty, and I almost didn't even order her.  I'm kinda burnt out on Agnes right now since there's been a lot of her in the past year and a half or so.  But, the ones that have been released are all ones that I really like, so.... I don't know???  I've always wanted Agnes with short hair, so that's why I wound up ordering this doll.  I'm not really huge on doll purses (especially if they're clutches), but I really like this one as well.

Phoebe (Rapture Phoebe Ashe)

I love the cartoon Jem.  I collected the old Hasbro Jem dolls, and I did buy quite a few of the Jem Integrity dolls when the line was first announced because Jem was such a huge part of my childhood (and even my adulthood - I still love watching that show).  But, I realized that the dolls just didn't fit into my collection, and what I like to get out of my collection.  I like redressing my dolls constantly, and I found it really difficult to dress them because of their era makeup, so I wound up selling them.  But, this one I did keep, because she fits into that box of what I want out of my collection.  I can dress her in things that aren't 80's, or Jem cartoon, appropriate.  Also, I just REALLY love the face sculpt, and I hope that if it's true that Color Infusion as a line is retired, that the Rapture face will somehow make an appearance in some other line.  Be it ITBE, or CI if it really does come back, or as something else.

Evelyn (Glittering Gala Evelyn)

One of my surprise faves of last year.  I'm super pumped to see where we go with East 59th this year.  The clothes aren't my style, but they're so well-made and the accessories are really great.  My fave part is the dolls themselves.  I love the Evelyn and Constance face sculpts, and can't wait to see what new characters come our way, and what new versions of these girls we can get our mitts on.

Nicole (Poetic Beauty Eden)

Got this girl in a trade, and I'm really happy.  I dig the bangs a lot (wish more dolls came with them).  Her coloring is really pretty, as well.  I've actually had this post kinda sorta started for a few days and just never got around to posting it.  Guys - I am SUPER lazy once I get home from work.  I could literally stare at a wall for a few hours, and kinda be okay with it (I've actually done it too, just getting lost in my own daydreams or when I was taking higher doses of medication).  I guess that's why I never do reviews, and haven't even posted any new WClub doll announcements.  There are a lot of talented, great people who put a lot of effort into that kind of stuff, and I'm just like "ehhhhh, I'll just show pics of my dolls."  Leave the hard work to those great folks.

Zafirah (Neo-Romantic Rayna)

This was one of the Heirloom collection that I was put on the Wait List for since they sold out so quickly at my dealer.  To be fair though, I only was confirmed for one of the dolls in the collection, so I was wait-listed for everything except for Charmed Life Imogen.  I picked her up on the secondary market, though, because she was just too gorgeous to pass up.  Unfortunately when I was taking pictures, her glasses fell off and went under the porch, and it's all muddy and gross under there.  I'll have to wait until it dries out to see if I can retrieve them. :(

Dinara (Dress Me Luchia)

As you all know, Luchia is my favorite FR character.  I'm surprised that it took me so long to get this version of her, as it's the first incarnation.  She came out before I even started collecting Fashion Royalty by a year or so.  I started in 2008, so it's been 10 years, give or take a few months.  In around 2010 I took some time away from collecting because I was poor and going back to school, but I came back in 2012, joined the WClub, and the rest is history.

Zelda (Smoke and Mirrors Lillith)

I hope everyone on the East Coast who was affected by this storm is doing okay.  I was one of those people.  The accumulation was okay, but it was the wind that wreaked havoc.  I was supposed to work today, but the power was out at the mall, so I spent the day stalking the mall's Facebook page and their tenant line.  Definitely got off better than some places, especially if you are right on the water.

This doll is one of the best of last year, and I think my personal fave Twins release ever.  I know that's kind of sacrilege against the more popular Twins releases like Style Mantra, but I utterly adore everything about this doll.  Her hair, her screening, her lip color.  She is everything to me.
